Mr. Aziz Rabbah, the former Minister of Equipment, Transport and Logistics since January 2012, was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI as Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development on April 5 2017.
Aziz Rabbah is an engineer, specialized in new information technologies. He holds a Bachelor in Mathematics from the Mohammed V high school in Kenitra (1981), an engineering degree from INSEA (1985) and a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Laval University in Quebec (1992).
Rabbah held several leadership positions in the Ministries of Economic and General Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Trade and Industry. He also served as an adviser in the offices of several Moroccan Ministers.

Abderrahim EL HAFIDI was honored by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, with the National Royal Order of Merit to the Rank of Officer, in reward for services and works rendered regarding the development and implementation of the new Moroccan energy strategy and the Morocco’s renewable energy program by 2030.
He was the General Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco
EL HAFIDI has an engineering background; he graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Rabat.
35 years’ experience in the field of energy and in particular electricity, natural gas, renewable energy and regulation.
Mr. Mohammed Rachid IDRISSI KAITOUINI is currently President of the Federation of Energy and a board member of the World LPG Association. He chaired the “Groupement Marocain des Pétroliers du Maroc” from 2009 to 2011. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of AKWA Group’s Gas Division. 57 years of age, he is a Business Administration graduate of “Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC)” in Montreal, Canada. After a first two-year experience in a major Moroccan financial institution, he joined AKWA Group in 1988 as Administrative and Financial Director of the MAGHREB OXYGENE subsidiary. In 1992, he took care of the creation of the company TECHNOGAZ, where he acts as General Manager, implementing the ISO 9002 certification process. In 1998, he became CEO of AFRIQUIA GAZ and participated in its Initial Public Offering in 1999. In September 2001, he was named General Manager of the Gas Division, heading,
therefore, all of AKWA Group’s gas subsidiaries. In April 2005, he lead the acquisition of TISSIR PRIMAGAZ and its merger with AFRIQUIA GAZ Between 2008 and 2010, he ensured the takeover of two companies, namely NATIONAL GAZ and DRAGON GAZ. Mr. Mohammed Rachid Idrissi Kaitouni was decorated with a “Wissam Alaoui” with rank of officer by His Majesty the King, on November 13, 2011.
